Job Title: Instrumentation and Control System Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of process instrumentation and control systems, ensuring the highest standards of reliability and cost-effectiveness. You will participate in system walks, hydros, restorations, and turnover book reviews, providing technical expertise and sign-off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware and software design, testing, commissioning, and documentation.
- Perform Honeywell control system software upgrades, controller configurations, backups, and routine control system maintenance.
- Design and implement process instrumentation and control systems.
- Develop designs that optimize reliability and cost-effectiveness for instrument and control systems.
- Support process designers in creating process design specifications.
- Develop operating and training manuals for various systems.
- Write purchase and construction specifications.
- Write and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to ensure systems meet required standards.
- Perform audits of instrumentation installations and process control loops to maintain quality and compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience in Instrumentation and Controls, particularly in the refinery, chemical, or manufacturing industries.
- In-depth knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as Honeywell DCS systems, including TDC3000, C300; TPS, and Experion PKS.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Working knowledge of SCADA interfaces.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Projects.
