Gridiron Air LLC (“Gridiron” or “the company”) was established to provide safe, reliable, high quality wide-body air transportation to the Arizona Cardinals Football Club. The company is expanding and is actively seeking Part 121 certification with the goal of delivering best-in-class service to sports teams and various organizations.
Position Summary:
The IT Systems Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of IT systems and network infrastructure within the organization. This multifaceted role involves providing technical support, designing and maintaining IT systems, and managing network components, among other responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be proficient in both systems and network administration, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently.

Primary Job Duties:
System Engineering:
- Design, implement, and maintain IT systems, including servers (on-premise/MS365 Cloud), workstations, and associated software
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with IT teams to support system upgrades, migrations, and integration
Network Administration:
- Establish and maintain network standards and procedures in line with industry best practices
- Manage and maintain local network systems, including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Ensure network security, implementing and monitoring access controls and security protocols
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, both on-site and remotely
- Participate in network planning and design, and work with Project Leads on network-related projects
Collaboration and Support:
- Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users, addressing system and network issues promptly
- Work with the appropriate team(s) to represent the technical support function
- Collaborate with necessary stakeholders to assess and implement new software releases and hardware upgrades
- Support the roll-out of PCs, software, and hardware, ensuring smooth adoption
- Assist in the management of equipment and personnel in local and remote locations
- Participate in major projects, including software and hardware installations, occasionally taking the lead in coordinating project activities
Additional duties as required, adapting to evolving needs and contributing to team success
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, desktop operating systems, networking, security, and server and MS365 software
- Proficiency in Microsoft MDM software, Intune
- Proficiency in mixed Windows/Mac environments
- Knowledge of virtualization for both servers and desktops, including Azure and VMware
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software, on-site and remotely
- Approachable and attentive to end-users' needs
- Experience in coordinating and participating in IT projects
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively
- Effective collaboration with individuals and teams at all organizational levels
- Must be willing to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively manage stress associated with meeting deadlines and managing unexpected change
- Detail oriented with an initiative-taking problem-solving mindset
- Self-motivation and flexibility for a 24/7 operation, as needed.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT systems engineering and network administration
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
