Orbis is partnering with one of the fastest-growing Generative AI startups focused on developing cutting-edge, AI-driven consumer devices. We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer with a passion for creating meaningful consumer applications using the Flutter framework. This role involves working on both production and yet-to-be-released products, contributing to a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customize our device's operating system, conduct performance benchmarks, and optimize system performance.
- Develop UI and UX features for our hardware, including animations, text display, and interaction patterns, following design team guidance.
- Integrate machine learning capabilities, such as speech recognition, speech synthesis, natural language processing, and computer vision, into our OS, in close collaboration with cloud-based teams.
- Collaborate with the cloud team to implement and optimize communication protocols between our device and Rabbit OS.
- Independently manage tasks, troubleshoot issues, and report to technical leadership, with the potential to lead a team of full-time employees and interns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building mobile applications using Flutter (preferably for tablet devices).
- Strong experience working closely with designers on consumer-facing products.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience customizing frameworks in Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
- Expertise in on-device audio processing, including playback, capture, and noise/echo cancellation.
- Familiarity with real-time communication protocols like WebSocket and WebRTC.
