We are looking for a Satellite GNC Engineer to join our client in the heart of Colorado!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop satellite GNC and ADCS subsystem designs through all design, integration, and operations stages.
- Conduct trade studies for spacecraft GNC hardware selection, sizing, and performance assessment.
- Apply GNSS signal knowledge to satellite GNC and related applications.
- Design and develop high-fidelity GNC and attitude control algorithms.
- Create, maintain, and execute satellite attitude control simulation software.
- Analyze stability and robustness of GNC algorithms using control theory and simulations.
- Support design and readiness reviews for satellite programs.
- Provide inputs to program schedules and status for all subsystem tasks.
- Operate engineering systems and document any encountered issues.
- Support internal development and new business opportunities when required.
Job Qualifications:
- Requires bachelor's, master's, or PhD in engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Six years with bachelor's, four years with master's, or two years with PhD in engineering.
- Experience in space domain and satellite segment design is essential.
- Thorough understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theories.
- Proven ability to develop and communicate new concepts accurately in evolving environments.
- Strong skills in organizing, scheduling, coordinating work phases, and solving complex problems.
- Excellent communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or lead a team on single-component projects.
