Position Title: AV Commissioning Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary role of the AV Commissioning Specialist is setting up and commissioning audio-visual equipment for enterprise customers. The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for leading, supporting, and interacting with all technicians, programmers, and customers.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Demonstrate job site leadership with all subcontractors, technicians, engineers, and programmers
· Ability to lead, perform, and direct installation of audio-visual equipment
· Act as a customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
· Reporting accurately daily to the assigned project manager
· Analyze and interpret system drawings
· Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation
· Perform hardware upgrades to all AV components
· Registration and setting changes of VTC codec endpoints (Cisco, Poly)
· Proficient with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Shure, Biamp, and QSC hardware components
· Proficient with Crestron Toolbox, Biamp Tesira, Q-SYS, and Shure software
· Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, VLANs, and VPN.
· Write, configure, and adjust digital signal processors (DSP) including Biamp and QSC
· Fine tune audio-video systems to ensure optimal performance
· Ability to work with a remote system programmer to load and diagnose interfaces
· Extensive background in troubleshooting complex audio, video, and network related issues
· Knowledge of Advanced signal flow for audio, video, and control
· Minor programming capabilities (Crestron/QSC/Extron) - changes and troubleshooting
· Create, track, and close a project punch-list
· Comfortable and able to communicate with C-Level executives
· Ability to train and educate customers on installed equipment and receive a final sign off from the customer showing job completion
· Compile and submit all project related deliverables including redlining CAD documents

· Certifications: CTS-I, Q-SYS Control 101, Q-SYS Level I & II, Crestron Flex & CTI-P101, Extron Control Specialist, Tesira Server / Server-IO
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving
· When working on site, could be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
· 5+ years’ experience in collaboration or Audio-Visual Integration
· High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
