The Endpoint Enterprise Systems Engineer (12 month contract) is a subject matter expert for multiple endpoint technologies. This role defines long-term strategy for the Endpoint Platforms team and exercises considerable latitude and initiative to solve complex problems. Expertise in Leadership, Project Management, Hardware/Software Architecture & Best Practice, Security & Compliance, and Enterprise Architectures is required.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and enterprise technology thought leader.
- Act as a product owner for Microsoft 365 services and technologies, defining long-term roadmaps and making tactical decisions.
- Define and implement long-term strategy for platforms.
- Mentor application/system administrators and provide escalation support for critical issues.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical issues.
- Focus on continuous improvement in system reliability through automation and monitoring.
- Lead enterprise infrastructure projects related to Microsoft 365 services.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Security on platform architecture and security strategies.
- Manage vendor relationships and advocate for beneficial features.
- Evaluate, implement, and operationalize new capabilities.
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience in IT or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training.
- Technical engineering experience with Microsoft 365 technologies (e.g., Azure AD, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams).
