This role is responsible for all aspects of the electrical engineering of automotive paint shop or other industrial process construction projects.
- Provide all pertinent electrical engineering as it relates to project scope and review with the electrical engineering group manager, as needed
- Hold weekly project progress meetings with the engineering support team to keep them informed of any scope changes and/or priority changes
- Hold meetings with the manufacturing staff and/or operations staff as needed to discuss any issues which might affect their duties to perform their own work tasks (design review meetings)
- Document all project communication as it relates to issues involving problems, concerns, scope changes (i.e. D.C.R.'s, F.A.R.'s, C.I.S.'s) and/or interruptions that may affect the completion of the project and/or engineering schedule
- Process all pertinent purchase orders through the sales person and purchasing agent, in a timely fashion, in order to maintain the proper progress of the construction schedule
- Select all of the proper equipment and vendors, as it relates to the demands of the client, project scope, project budget, and/or project schedule
- Verify all equipment certified drawings, and equipment performance
- Provide the start-up personnel with all necessary information, in a timely fashion and prior to implementing the start-up schedule (i.e. specifications, drawings, schedule, training, etc.)
- Provide start-up assistance during the start-up / debug schedule, as needed
- Track all subcontractor, engineering, and CAD drawings with the project schedule
- Verify that all subcontractors have the latest drawing revision and updated drawing log
- Review and approve all subcontractor drawings for general arrangement, scope and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain documents as Identified In scope of work responsibility matrix (I.e. DCDL)
- Travel to job site (Domestic & International) as required. Short and Long term.
- Always maintain a valid Passport.
- When on-site, report activities and take direction from Project Director.
Educational requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred, or 5+ years working in an equivalent role.
Experience requirements: 5+ years working in industrial process design and installation role, paint finishing preferred..
