On behalf of one of our international clients, manufacturer of packaging systems and machinery for pallet load units and large containers, we are currently searching for a qualified Electrical Engineer/Designer.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client’s US office has expanded over the past years and has been taking on a more independent role, including more domestic engineering. The position will report to the Engineering Manager.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Create the electrical schematics in E-Plan P8 software for projects
- Coordinate with European manufacturing facilities for parts ordering
- Support the sales staff with pre-sales customer engineering document reviews
- Support service staff with field issues and questions on retrofits or changes in the field (remote normally)
- Review electrical and safety standards quarterly and make recommendations
- Participate in research and development projects
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience with designing machines or automation systems
- Experience with CAE (EPLAN P8, Autocad Electrical or similar)
- Experience with UL508A and general panel building norms
- Experience with IT and Industrial networks, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ProfiNet
- At least basic knowledge of US machinery standards
- Detailed knowledge about US safety standards
- Detailed knowledge of NEC and NFPA79 standards
- Good knowledge of Rockwell PLC, IO, Safety and Drive systems
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and abroad (less than 20%)
- Have analytical cognitive capability for understanding MSK’s portfolio of equipment
- Must be able to work both in a collaborative environment and autonomously
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to handle stressful situations and "get the job done"
- Majority of work in office setting (desk)
- Ability to work in the field for short trips (troubleshooting role)
