The OpportunityLICENSED MILLWRIGHTSummary: duties in the maintenance, operation, and repair of equipment. They assist with and perform installation and maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment.•Location: Highway 3, Chin, Alberta, Canada•Starting Pay: $49.71/hour•Schedule: The schedule will often include shift work and will change depending on the business needs•Position Type: Regular - Full-TimeRequired Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities•Must be a fully Licensed Industrial Millwright with experience in manufacturing and/or process industries.•Be able to read and understand blueprints, P&ID s, equipment manuals, and other relevant material.•Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.•Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.•Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.•Controlling operations of equipment or systems.•Understand the fundamentals of a CMMS (SAP) and be able to utilize it for daily work.•Developing respectful, constructive, and cooperative working relationships with others.•The ability to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and written sentences.•The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.•Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer. We recognize that diversity drives our creativity, resilience, and success and makes our business stronger.Essential Functions•Actively contribute to the TEAM by working diligently to correct and prevent any issues where there is a safety or food safety risk or where there is the potential to limit OEE.•Responsible for identifying, detecting, and documenting all potential repair problems on the above-mentioned equipment during the course of your normal duties.•Responsible for reporting any HACCP Food Safety Risks or identified problems.•Attend Team meetings as required.•Conduct preventative maintenance and repair and lubricate machines and equipment.•Weld, repair, and fabricate equipment or machinery.•Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.•Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.•Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your job.•Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles.•Time Management Managing one's own time and the time of others.•Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.•Work closely with production and maintenance supervision as a team player to keep the line running with minimum downtime.•Responsible for housekeeping in the shop and any work areas.•Verbally communicate identified Emergency/Urgent repair problems effectively.•Must comply with GMPs, Safety, and HACCP Best Operating Procedures.•Must be able and willing to promote continuous improvement of workplace safety.•Maintain Safety standards of equipment and work area according to established procedures and as instructed by the manager.•Other duties as required by the needs of the business.Full BenefitsMcCain offers full benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance.
