Quality Manager Position Summary:
The position requires hands on involvement, attention to detail, organization and a sense of urgency to exceed our customers’ requirements. This individual will provide overall quality leadership with manufacturing and senior management team.
Quality Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management and maintenance of mature ISO system.
- Customer and Supplier interaction and support.
- Planning and directing quality assurance activities and initiatives.
- Maintaining all reports to ensure management and supervision is informed of current performance.
- Foster quality culture throughout the company.
- Facilitate improvement opportunities.
- Formulate and maintain quality objectives coordinating with production activities.
- Drive continuous improvement throughout the company.
- Manage the quality resource activities including measurement, process improvements, employee training, and manufacturing process and equipment capability.
Quality Manager Requirements:
- 5 Years Minimum ISO and Quality Management
- 5 Years of manufacturing (Sheet Metal experience is a plus)
- Must have weld inspection./AWS certification experience
- 4 year degree (is a plus)
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred)
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
- Ability to translate technical, customer issues to operational requirements
- In-depth understanding of the testing, inspection, and quality issues
- Advanced problem solving, statistical analysis, reporting and solution focus
- Strong team player, able to work across the business for collaborative problem solving
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Must be able to communicate in and understand verbal/written communication in the English language.
