Individual will primarily function as front desk receptionist within a governmental organization on a part-time basis. Performs general office support duties and clerical support to organization's departments. Duties will include initial point of public contact operating a multi-line switchboard for a staff of 85, composition, data entry and records/file management. Employee will respond to general inquiries and technical assistance calls; maintain stock of office supplies; assist with meeting and conference room coordination, etc. and perform other general office duties.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Employee should have working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, equipment, and various computer products, including Microsoft programs. Strong organizational skills, as well as superb communication skills, both oral and written, are required to interact with a variety of customers including general public, elected officials, co-workers, and other organizations. Position requires the ability to resolve problem situations on own accord and be resourceful in gathering and giving program information to the general public in a tactful manner.
Requires high school graduation or equivalent supplemented by additional business and/or computer courses and two years of experience in administrative support duties. Demonstrated ability in use Microsoft Office products required. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Successful candidate must pass organization's pre-employment drug screen and background screening process. Valid NC driver's license required. Salary is $15.81

SALARY RANGE: Salary is $15.81/hour. Typical schedule rotates on a week on/week off, alternating between an 8:30am-5pm two day and three-day work week. FICA and EAP services only.
