Job Title: Senior Natural Software Developer

Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

Roles/Responsibilities:

Its functions include, but are not limited to, contribution reporting and collections; crediting service; member demographic information maintenance; service credit purchases; benefit application processing; benefit calculation; benefit payroll; third party deductions and disbursements; tax reporting, receivables and collections; correspondence and statement generation; and event tracking. In addition, the system supplies extracted data to a data mart that is used for actuarial purposes.

CalSTRS has also implemented the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software. This software provides general ledger, investment accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, travel management, cash management, supplier management, cost accounting and project accounting functions.

The selected Senior Natural Software Developer will be performing various system analysis and programming activities related to the following mainframe pension system services:

Resolution of Incidents;

Resolution of Data Change Requests (DCR);

Analysis, extraction, and deliverables for Information Requests (IR);

Implementation of small to medium sized system enhancements; and

Data cleansing, interfacing, and data conversion between the current and new pension system. The delivery of these services requires expert skills in business requirement analysis, system design, functional and technical specification documentation, programming/coding, and testing.

Mandatory Skills:

At least ten (10) years of hands-on experience following a structured System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

At least two (2) years of demonstrated experience working as a Natural developer with a State/Federal pension system
