We are seeking a Brand Strategist who will dive in and steward our brand forward into this exciting new phase of growth. We are seeking a Brand Expert who will help us maintain and elevate our brand in a competitive marketplace.

Position Overview
The Brand Expert will be responsible for establishing, refining, and advancing Redbarn's brand differentiation strategy. Using deep insights from consumer behavior, market trends, and internal data, you will position Redbarn as a premier brand in the pet industry. You will collaborate closely with product and creative teams to ensure cohesive brand strategies across all platforms and maintain a consistent brand voice throughout all communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Leadership: Spearhead the development and enhancement of Redbarn's brand differentiation strategy, ensuring robust and consistent brand positioning.
- Market and Consumer Insight: Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential challenges. Apply these insights to adjust and strengthen brand and selling strategies. Use syndicated data to monitor market share and item level performance across the categories at key retailers, identifying trends and opportunities. Use this data to inform and adapt brand and selling strategies.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work alongside product teams to integrate brand strategies into product development and partner with creative teams to align marketing initiatives with the brand's vision.
- Identity Development: Create and support the execution of brand positioning and marketing campaigns that reflect the brand's core values and goals.
- Brand Storytelling: Develop compelling narratives that effectively communicate Redbarn's brand values and product benefits, driving consumer engagement and sales growth. Deliver branded decks to support our sales and PR efforts.
- Consistency Across Channels: Ensure that the brand's messaging, tone, and visual identity are consistent across all platforms, including online and offline channels. This includes strategy and oversight for physical store displays and secondary retail placements.
- Performance Optimization: Regularly evaluate brand performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance brand impact and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand management, or a related role with a focus on brand leadership.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in branding or strategy are a plus.
Core Skills
- Expert research and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable brand strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of clearly articulating complex ideas.
- Proficient in project management, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Creative problem solver with expertise in storytelling, digital marketing, content marketing, and social media strategy.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and graphic design is advantageous.
- Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented approach, capable of adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead within a collaborative organization.
