Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Environment Technician Level 2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in high availability assembly, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments, such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, or pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role involves executing a variety of technical tasks and following operating procedures for both planned and unplanned critical environment work activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all tasks outlined in the Critical Environment Technician Level 1 role description.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities.
- Conduct daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds and log-taking (e.g., temperatures, voltages, currents).
- Adhere to operating procedures (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs) for critical environment planned and unplanned work activities.
- Perform fire alarm preventative maintenance (PM).
- Assist in troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration.
- Conduct quarterly and annual generator preventative maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units (RTU) HVAC systems, including refrigeration recovery (requires EPA Refrigerant License).
- Carry out preventative maintenance on industrial chillers.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on fire pumps and fire alarm systems.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification standards.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: EPA Refrigerant License.
- Required: OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification.
- Required: Experience with mechanical systems in high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments (e.g., data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturing).
- Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Required: Minimum of 3 years' experience or applied learning in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, data center).
- Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varying work week configurations.
- Required: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience:
- Experience with rooftop units (RTU) HVAC systems, including refrigeration recovery.
- Previous data center experience is a plus.
- Experience in preventative maintenance of industrial chillers, fire pumps, and fire alarm systems.
Schedule: 12 hr Day Shift. Sun - Tues and every other Wed. Overtime pay included
