Title: Building Envelope Project Manager
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: Direct Hire
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include day-to-day management and execution of projects. Projects will include forensic investigations and report writing; performance of testing; preparing remedial repair design documents; providing bid services for remedial projects, as well as construction administration. From time-to-time, responsibilities will include performance of document reviews and construction observation and testing for architects and contractors for new building construction, retrofit and repair. This opportunity also includes working with company's construction group providing design-build services in the building envelope space.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 15 years of experience working as a building envelope consultant.
- 3 years of experience working as a Project Manager.
- Successful candidates will possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience executing building envelope consulting projects of all types.
- Experience performing on site water penetration resistance testing; as well as having provided bid and construction phase services.
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required; however, candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.
- Architectural registration, professional engineer, or registered building envelope consultant preferred but not required.
- Experience with investigating building envelope failures.
- Experience with building envelope testing, such as water penetration resistance; pull testing of coatings; air infiltration testing to name a few.
- Experience with writing investigation reports. Meaning, a report to communicate why something failed and what to do about it.
- Experience with preparing Drawings and Specifications for bidding purposes, attracting specialty Contractors who would perform the work.
- Experience in the bidding phase, attracting Contractors to perform building envelope repair or restoration work.
- Experience administrating construction phase contracts, for building envelope repair or replacement.
- Experience performing new construction quality assurance and quality control; including site observation and testing; as well as Drawing reviews.
