About the Role
We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Bridge Engineer to join our Civil Team. The desired candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an Associate’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience. FE and or PE License Preferred, however not required. Individuals intending to obtain these Licenses are strongly encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in Bridge design software such as STAAD, RAM, AASHTOWare, SAP, MathCAD, and MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is preferred. HydroCAD, InRoads Storm & Sanitary and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge is a plus. A good working knowledge of AASHTO, LRFD, and NYSDOT (or other state) design standards is required. Experience in the development of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans which implemented green infrastructure for site and linear projects, or traffic modeling (Synchro) is a plus.
Primary duties will include:
- Performing work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, and/or equipment.
- Solving engineering problems using experience, judgment, and education.
- Becoming proficient using group design software in conjunction with Delta Standards.
- Preparing or assisting in the preparation of engineering documents, details, schedules, or reports as assigned.
- Attending client meetings/presentations.
- Communicating with client representatives, contractors, and suppliers.
- Serving on field inspection teams to obtain and document existing conditions using field notes, sketches, and photography.
- Developing quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates.
- Participating in site visits/inspections during construction.

Pay range and compensation package
Hiring Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities along with an internal equity and alignment with market area data.)
