Automation and Controls Management Engineer (ACME)

Our client, seeks a highly skilled Automation and Controls Management Engineer to join their team. In this role, you'll be the mastermind behind ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime across their 24/7 production environment.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Lead team meetings and provide strategic technical insights to upper management.
- Craft specifications for new software requirements to enhance automation capabilities.
- Oversee 24/7 production support, ensuring prompt issue resolution and system uptime.
- Design and develop innovative control systems to streamline manufacturing processes.
- Manage the maintenance and modification of existing automation systems.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams including design engineers, operations, and IT.
- Liaise with external stakeholders like clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage projects within budget and time constraints.
- Implement troubleshooting procedures for IT systems, industrial automation, and plant floor instrumentation.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.
- Provide expert advice and technical support.
- Manage equipment procurement.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.
To be successful, you'll have:
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in both manufacturing and CPG environments.
While not mandatory, these skills will definitely make you stand out:
- Proficiency in SQL Server versions (2005, 2008, 2012X).
- Experience with Active Directory management.
- Expertise in AutoCAD LT (including AutoLISP coding).
- In-depth knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) from Rockwell Automation (RSLogix 5/500/5000 & FactoryTalkView) or Allen-Bradley (SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, PanelView).
- Familiarity with Omron PLCs and/or CX-One programming software.
- Experience with industrial automation SCADA systems like Wonderware InTouch or ArchestrA.
