In this role, you will be leading a team of data engineers, overseeing the development and implementation of data infrastructure on AWS, and driving the strategy for data management across the organization. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various stakeholders to provide unique data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a high-performance environment.
- Oversee the design and development of scalable data pipelines using AWS services.
- Develop and execute data engineering strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead data engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Implement and enforce data quality standards and governance practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and technological advancements.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to support analytical initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in AWS data engineering tools and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team of data engineers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
