Our partner in Englewood, Colorado is looking to bring 5 Network Engineers on their team! The team is looking for out of the box thinkers and people passionate about troubleshooting!
Role: Network Engineer III
Location: Englewood, CO
Onsite Requirements: 4-5 days per week
Type of position: Long term contract with possibility to extend or convert full time
You will be a good fit if you have experience with the following:
- Troubleshooting DOCSIS, EPON or CPE
- OLT = Network Router/Switch- Need to know the Routing, Fiber, Optical Networks.
- Core Networks
- Optical Networks
- CCNA level Route/Switch
Required Qualifications
- Candidates should have at least 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, preferably with a cable Multiple System Operator (MSO) or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
- Experience in CPE Testing is strongly desired.
- Candidates must have a good understanding of DOCSIS, PacketCable and provisioning
- Experience with automation, databases, scripting, and system administration is a plus.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The candidate must be a team player, with an inherent ability to work well under tight timelines, and have strong problem solving capabilities.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.), Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols
- Knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology
- Knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations.
- Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly
