Are you a seasoned Network Security Engineer seeking a new challenge?
Our client is on the hunt for a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the development and maintenance of our network security architecture and cybersecurity systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions across our global network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our network and data, while proactively addressing potential security threats.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Designing, implementing, and managing advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network security administration and appropriate use.
- Providing architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to all local Network Engineers, Network Administrators, and other Network Engineers.
- Conducting research and making recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all network security procurement and development efforts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of security measures.
- Creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to network security configuration, network mapping, processes, and services.
- Interacting and negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
- Reviewing new and existing network security designs, projects, and procurement.
- Recommending improvements and/or alternatives on the company’s existing systems security architecture and technology portfolio.
- Managing lifecycle and ownership of multiple technologies and network security product types.
- Overseeing licensing governance and management of multiple enterprise agreements.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to all network engineers and other IT staff.
Here’s what it takes:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Cisco security product portfolio: Cisco Firepower, Cisco Meraki Security Appliance, Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco XDR required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in network security, with a focus on global or enterprise environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCNP Security.
- Experience with developing strategic plans, organization goals, and objectives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing, developing, and delivering strategic network architectural design and operational excellence.
- 10-25% travel domestically and internationally.
