About Us: Artemis Staffing is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to employees and ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT systems. This role is critical in resolving technical issues, managing software and hardware installations, and supporting end-users to ensure optimal productivity.
Job Description:
IT Support Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, or in person.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications, operating systems, and hardware components.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patch management, and system backups.
- Support remote users by resolving connectivity issues, setting up VPNs, and troubleshooting remote access problems.
- Document and track issues using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with end-users.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve more complex technical problems.
- Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for using IT resources securely and efficiently.
- Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician, or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
- Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and remote desktop tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar are a plus.
