Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours full-time Experience: Competency and experience in antepartum, intrapartum, and OBOR preferred License: Active nursing license required Certifications: COVID-19 and Flu Vaccine required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only) Must-Have: Willingness to work two out of the three major winter holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year) Job Description: - Provide specialized care to low and high risk pregnant patients during the antepartum period through delivery. - Work as part of a 24-bed unit dedicated to labor and delivery with facilities that include a 3-bed triage area, 2 operating rooms (ORs), and 2 post-anesthesia beds. - Handle an average of 250 deliveries and 350 triage patients per month. - Follow staffing targets aligned with obstetrics regulations: - 1:1-2 for laboring patients - 1:3-4 for antepartum patients - 1:3 for triage patients - 2:1 for OBOR patients - 1:1-2 for OB PACU patients - Collaborate with a skill mix of clinical team leaders and preceptors. - Participate in a rotational schedule that includes every third weekend, rotating holidays, and a variable amount of on-call hours with a maximum of 24 hours per 6-week schedule block. - Complete orientation modules including Epic Fast Track modules prior to starting, with 24 hours allocated for non-billable orientation.
