Medical Device Client is seeking Manufacturing Engineer in Irvine, CA!

What does your group do? New Product Development; Quality function for development of new products within the Surgical Business unit
o Does your team use any specific technology/software you want us to look out for? Solidworks, Risk Management, Clean-Room Build Support
o Do you foresee this role being needed again? Maybe? For a different product?
More on this position:
o What will a typical workday look like? Oversee design verification and validation builds, perform data analysis, develop inspection procedures, validate inspection procedures, write process validation protocols, write process validation reports. Support CMO transfer activities.
o What will the work schedule be? Can any overtime be expected? 8am-5pm; No overtime. Occasionally may get OT during peak project periods.
o Will there be any travel involved? No. Occasionally may be needed at CMO if there's an urgent need
o Will you consider remote work? If yes, will they need to be in a specific time zone? No remote work considered.
o What are your top 3 required technical skills? Must haves? Test method development, device builds in cleanroom, and risk management.
o What are nice to have skills? New product development experience, receiving inspection, design verification
o Is there anything that would automatically disqualify a candidate? No medical device experience

Job Responsibilities:
* Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency.
* Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
* Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.
* Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
* Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
Skills:
* Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
* Team player and detail oriented.
* Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
* Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Education/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
* 2-4 years experience required.
