Position Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, from inception through to completion, with a strong focus on process control and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires an experienced project manager who is adept at delivering business milestones, managing complex timelines, and working with diverse teams including business development, design, engineering, and product management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that all project milestones are met, including business rationale, market analysis, and product launch strategies.
- Process Control: Implement and maintain strong process controls throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Phase Gate methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams, including business development, design, engineering, and product management, to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, and other relevant tools to manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Critical Thinking: Quickly grasp new knowledge, identify potential risks, and develop solutions to ensure project success.
- Leadership: Take initiative in leading meetings, holding team members accountable, and driving project progress. Exhibit strong public speaking and communication skills, with the ability to present to various stakeholders.
- Emotional Intelligence: Demonstrate high emotional intelligence in managing relationships, resolving conflicts, and motivating teams.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
- Process Control: Strong experience in process control and Phase Gate methodologies, with the ability to manage the full project lifecycle.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, and other project management tools.
- Cross-Functional Experience: Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as business development, design, engineering, and product management.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to lead meetings and hold team members accountable. A proactive leader with high emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex situations.
