Role Description
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team, who will be responsible in assisting project
managers and estimators by performing various estimating and construction management tasks.
Construction Project Engineer Qualifications
- Review and analyze blueprints, specs, proposals, and other construction documents.
- Coordinate subcontractor bids during budgeting and bid phases; prepare bid invitations, review bids, schedule site visits, and develop bid presentations.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and input them into spreadsheets.
- Obtain and review subcontractor bids, and address inaccuracies.
- Manage and track RFIs from the field to the Architect/Engineer.
- Maintain and distribute project plans and records.
- Assist Project Manager/Superintendent with project schedules and building permits.
- Support site safety documentation and coordination.
- Create and distribute meeting minutes and project closeout materials.
- Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Coordinate preconstruction tasks with clients, architects, and engineers.
- Prepare project documents and schedules to ensure information flow to Project Managers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Construction Project Engineer Requirement:
- 4‐year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum is preferred or minimum 2 years
- Experience in supporting estimating, design related activities or project management teams.
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret plans/architectural drawings and specifications
- Relative to the scope of work and schedule specified for each project.
- Experience with design‐build, construction management, and hard bid projects.
- Able to monitor project costs, perform cost analysis, and prepare project reports.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet applications.
- Excellent collaboration, analytical, communication, and time management skills
