About this Role
Agility Partners is seeking qualified applicants to fill an open Associate Data Engineer position with one of our Banking clients. This role is an entry-level position that requires the individual to have the aptitude to learn and participate in the overall design, development, testing, and integration of the team’s delivery efforts. To be successful, the candidate must be driven, well-organized, self-motivated, and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks on agreed schedules. This opportunity includes free training on industry standards which would require some travel to Columbus (4 days over 2 weeks).
- Designs and builds platforms, tools, and solutions that help the company manage, secure, and generate value from its data.
- Creates scalable and reusable solutions for gathering, collecting, storing, processing, and serving data on both small and very large (i.e. Big Data) scales.
- Participate in the analysis and review of epics, features, and user stories
- Participate in the design and review of technical design of component data pipelines
- Participate in all Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo/Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement
- Develop technical solutions based upon user specifications and technology frameworks
- Work collaboratively with technical teams interfacing with assigned application
- Create and maintain system documentation, manuals, policy documents, etc.
- Participates with the team to establish target dates and complete activities/deliverables under changing conditions
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would bring the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
- Experience with Python
- Familiarity or experience writing SQL
- Experience with or a good understanding of Agile delivery
- Strong technical skills and a good understanding of software development principles
- Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutions
