Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class product management organization and continues to look for top-notch talent to expand the team. As the Competitive Enablement Lead at Palo Alto Networks, you will be responsible for up-leveling competitive findings into value-based silver bullets for our sales team, partnering with sales to win strategic opportunities, and being a trusted advisor to our sales, go-to-market, and product marketing partners. This role allows you to define the future of the network security industry by solving key problems for our customers and reestablishing what’s possible in this space.
You will be responsible for assisting sales with high-value competitive opportunities, maintaining competitive battlecards and differentiation material, creating competitive kill points, and leading sales knowledge transfer forums. You will help maintain our position as the market leader and educate internal teams on the competitive landscape.
To be successful in this position, you must possess a combination of strong technical and analytical skills, as well as a passion for cybersecurity while bridging customer business requirements with key competitive and market trends. You have a track record of success leading competitive enablement programs, delivering actionable findings to key internal stakeholders, and building compelling competitive differentiation.
Your Impact
This is a highly visible role, centered around helping Palo Alto Networks sales teams effectively sell in an aggressive competitive landscape.
This role reports to the Network Security Senior Director of Competitive Intelligence and provides actionable intelligence on the competitive landscape to our entire sales organization.
The successful candidate will be very clear-minded, inventive, collaborative, data-driven, objective, and competitive.
You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for NetSec Competitive Enablement and work closely with the Competitive Testing and Competitive Strategy teams to generate impactful competitive messaging.
Qualifications
Your Experience
BS/MS or equivalent experience required
10+ years in competitive intelligence, competitive enablement roles preferred
Must have competitive intelligence experience in cybersecurity
Very strong (written and verbal) communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills leading and contributing to cross-functional teams
Experience in fast-paced environments with overlapping projects/deliverables
Proven track record working with highly technical teams
Passion for working with technical individuals and a proven ability to distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand creative analysis
A consultative approach and an aptitude for translating market dynamics into actionable recommendations
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills required

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $163200 - $264000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
