The Lead Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the multifamily construction processes. This individual will also be comfortable budgeting and inventory tracking to ensure necessary supplies are on site.
Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the work of subcontractors, laborers, and other site personnel. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones. Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and report any variances. Ensure efficient use of resources.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction. Implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any changes to project plans.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or LEED are a plus.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Experience building multifamily projects in Florida.
- Experience using tunnel form cast in place construction.
