Our client is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Process Engineer at their manufacturing facility located in Corona, CA. As part of a Process Engineering team, this role will focus on optimization of manufacturing processes. There are multiple opportunities available with a work schedule M-F 12:00p - 8:30p or 1:00p - 9:30p working approximately 40 - 45 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Supports manufacturing floor and provides process troubleshooting as well as technical development and training of technicians
- Focus will be on improving safety, quality and efficiency and recommending automation when feasible
- Support launch of new product activities through participation in FMEA, part and tool design reviews, continuous improvement and other cross-functional team events
- Develops machine manuals, process sheets as well as setup and operator instructions for work cells
- Coordinates testing of new materials, processes, and equipment before the introduction into production
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (Chemical, Mechanical, Ceramics, Plastics, Materials Science or other related discipline)
- Experience with extrusion processes is strongly preferred
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing is strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate positively and work in a team environment and contribute to group goals
Salary and Benefits
- There is a wide salary range of $85,000-$125,000 dependent on education and years of experience. This position can be filled at a Junior Engineer level for new graduates with at least one internship. The upper salary range will be considered for candidates with several years of experience.
