Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Machesney Park, IL - 100% onsite
Employment Type: Long-term Contract
Our client is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with strong expertise in Siemens PLC programming for a long-term contract. In this role, you will design, program, and implement control systems for various industrial applications within a candy manufacturing company to ensure seamless and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and program Siemens PLCs using STEP 5, STEP 7, and or TIA Portal.
- Design and configure HMI systems, including WinCC.
- Troubleshoot and optimize control systems for reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project requirements and specifications.
- Provide technical support during system commissioning and integration.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Siemens PLC programming (STEP 7, TIA Portal).
- Strong background in control system design and HMI development.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
