Key Responsibilities for the Cloud Applications Manager
- Develop and implement strategies for cloud application deployment that align with business goals.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud solutions, considering network protocols, telecommunications equipment, and security standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define application requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of application software, including JBoss middleware, across diverse network environments.
- Utilize JIRA for tracking and managing application issues, enhancements, and project tasks.
- Conduct regular performance assessments to ensure applications meet scalability and reliability standards.
- Manage server and network hardening efforts, conduct security audits, and respond to incidents.

- Develop and implement emergency response plans and manage incident resolution.
Preferred Experience for the Cloud Applications Manager:
- Minimum of 5 years managing cloud applications, with extensive experience in application installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Proven experience with network monitoring tools, LAN/WAN protocols, telecommunications equipment, and JBoss middleware.
- Strong background in managing web-hosted applications, security engineering, and performance analysis.
- Experience with JIRA ticketing system, technical specifications, user documentation, and conducting training sessions.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
Preferred Qualifications for the Cloud Applications Manager
- Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are advantageous.
