Description
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong technical and problem-solving skills to join the team at LevelTen, reporting to the Infrastructure Engineering Manager. This individual will have both Software Engineering and Systems Administration experience to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of cloud-based applications, infrastructure, and security. Responsible for working with the Engineering team to improve our infrastructure to enable faster more efficient deployments and ensure the security of our cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement Toolchains and APIs to automate operational and security procedures
- Work closely with Architects to deliver Infrastructure for current and future products
- Enable faster and more efficient deployment cycles to adapt to various deployment patterns and engineering best practices
- Identify ways to optimize our cloud environment and operations
- Manage our Cloud platform with Infrastructure as Code
- Develop Telemetry to provide Observability across multiple platforms
- Manage Identity Providers
- Monitor system performance in the Cloud
- Cloud security configurations and operations, including monitoring, key management, security patches, and managing IAM policies
- On-call rotations
- Assist with application deployments
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience operating a cloud environment (AWS/GCP)
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Demonstrated experience in programming, specifically Python and Go
- Demonstrated experience in scripting languages, specifically Bash
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Databases and Cloud Storage systems
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP)
- Proficient in Linux operating systems and Unix shells
- Knowledge of web services and web application development preferred
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and patterns preferred
Additional details
- This position is based out of our office in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, WA (hybrid work schedule). Remote candidates with exceptionally strong qualifications may be considered.
- The estimated compensation for this position is $170,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
