Our Challenge:
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. You will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary, in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test cases using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Enhance and maintain the existing automation framework to accommodate new features and improve test efficiency.
- Partner with development teams to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement automated test strategies.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Collaborate with the QA team to create test plans and ensure coverage based on functional specifications.
- Mentor junior team members in automation practices and techniques.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in software testing and automation strategies.
- Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Requirements:
You are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on automation testing.
- Expert knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Proficient with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Strong experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
It would be great if you also had:
- Experience with additional programming languages (e.g., Python, C#).
- Knowledge of BDD/TDD practices and tools (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow).
- Experience with performance and/or security testing.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer certification).
