Title: Field Service Technician
Duration: 6-12 month contract + extensions
Location: Onsite – Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $24-28/hr
Compensation:
$24/hr to $28/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Overview: We are seeking experienced Field Network Technicians to join our team for a large-scale network build-out project. The project involves upgrading and expanding data center infrastructure, including 100G and 400G upgrades, line card additions, fabric card replacements, and new system installations. The work is challenging but rewarding, and we are looking for dedicated professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform field work, including network build-outs, link remediation, and system installations.
- Scale the team to meet project demands, potentially onboarding additional vendors.
- Provide hands-on support for data center equipment, including Cisco routers and switches.
- Travel to various data center sites (primarily in Phoenix and Chicago).
- Collaborate with senior architects and engineers to ensure successful project execution.
- Shadow and train with experienced technicians before working independently.
- Adapt to changing work schedules and locations based on project needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience with data center equipment, including Cisco routers and switches.
- Familiarity with routing protocols.
- Willingness to travel frequently for field work.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (e.g., lifting equipment, working in hot environments).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- SAW machine credentials preferred.
- Very capable, leans in, works hard, and is available to meet the requirements of the customer and what they're trying to do.
Additional Details:
- The project is expected to last at least 12 months.
- Work hours may vary based on project needs (full-time or part-time).
- Collaboration with Microsoft and other vendors is essential.
