Position: Electrical Engineer - Test and Validation

We are currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineer specializing in Test and Validation to drive the development and execution of rigorous testing protocols for both proprietary and off-the-shelf hardware. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and performance of our electrical systems through meticulous testing, with a strong emphasis on leveraging automation for efficiency gains.
As an Electrical Engineer at our esteemed organization, you will collaborate closely with Analog and Digital Design teams, Sales, Product Management, and Production units. Your primary objective will be to develop robust test algorithms and implement test procedures to thoroughly evaluate our product lineup, ranging from 250 W to 300 kW. Additionally, you will tackle the challenge of validating digital products, including network interfaces such as CAN, EtherCat, and RS-485.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and optimize test algorithms within our engineering framework to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Provide early-stage insights on the feasibility of test methods for new product development initiatives.
- Support manufacturing by refining test processes for analog and embedded systems.
- Innovate and design test fixtures tailored for power electronics, ensuring seamless integration with established test protocols.
- Lead the adoption of new methodologies, processes, and tools aimed at enhancing product quality while optimizing production costs and cycle times.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required by evolving project demands.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in scripting and executing automated test routines for electronic components.
- Proficiency in Data Acquisition techniques, including familiarity with serial and other communication protocols.
- Strong capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Familiarity with a diverse range of benchtop electronic testing equipment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, particularly C++ and C#.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in reviewing electrical schematics to ensure accessibility and testability of circuits.
Preferred Expertise:
- Prior experience with CANopen and TCP/IP protocols.
- Familiarity with source code version control systems.
- Basic proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Understanding of statistical data analysis techniques.
