Information Security Project Manager - 100% remote (EST)
Optomi, in partnership with a multi-industry enterprise company is looking to add an Information Security Project Manager to their growing team! The Information Security Project Manager will support their programs and services delivered across the org. The Information Security Project Manager is responsible for supporting the delivery of information security services by collaborating with the Information Security Program Management Office, service owners, and business units to optimize the value and ensuring the strategic alignment of security initiatives. This Information Security Project Manager role skillfully manages both projects and programs, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of security services across the services utilized by any internal businesses within the Information Security Program Management Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong partnerships across the organization to promote buy-in and streamline security initiatives.
- Partner with the metrics team to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) of security programs and projects.
- Develop compelling dashboards and reports to communicate the effectiveness and value of information security services to senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to streamline security processes, optimize service delivery models, and improve overall effectiveness.
- Champion best practices in project/program management for information security initiatives.
- Lead and mentor project team members.
- Continuously monitor program health, address risks, and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage individual security projects within the broader Program, ensuring they align with overall program goals.
- Drive timely and efficient project completion, meeting defined quality standards.
Skills required:
- Demonstrate practical experience working with multiple project management methodologies including at least one of the following: Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, SAFe
- Experience with any project management organizational or visualization tools; examples could be Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, SmartSheet, Wrike, or Rally
- Experience scheduling projects by breaking down large plans into smaller tasks
- Ability to lead technical conversations and work with teams to prioritize work based on value delivered, and highlight risks to delivery and support of a product
- Manage the flow of information to all stakeholders of the project from sponsors to users impacted
- Ability to motivate and guide others, and a drive for continuous improvement.

- Strong written/oral communication skills required along with desire and ability to communicate with business leaders through all levels of the organization.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Quality Assurance or equivalent; minimum 10 years of experience in a project management role.
- Relevant information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or similar.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
