Role: Sr Business Data Analyst
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: Full-Time
Must have:
- BA with 6+ years of experience in CAP Market / Risk domain
- Demonstrate Excellent Communication; requirements gathering; stakeholder management; etc.
- Tableau / SQL intermediate level
- Functional documentation
Good to have:
Python/vba experience
Responsibility
- Apart from general BA skills below are required for this opportunity – note the DAs should have Tableau experience.
- Strong functional knowledge & hands on business / technical analysis experience – risk & compliance highly desirable
- Able to work with business / risk managers / functional teams to understand EUC’s and translate them to user stories / Epics - including capturing EUC meta data and other functional details
- The role will be responsible for data analysis and mapping of EUC’s.
- Experience in scribing BRD, FRDs, business case, scenarios, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of requirements gathering, design methodology, & building functional & technical documents, etc.– detail oriented, analytical, & capable of investigating complex issues
- Act as a Liaison between business function stakeholders and technology teams to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate.
Activities:
- Analyze the current Inventory of EUCs to aid the business in identifying EUCs in the current population which can be retired via CORE IT or ITeSS, supporting EUC owners to create appropriate retirement plans in support of the annual reduction targets.
- Document the End-User Computing (EUC) including capturing EUC meta data e.g., EUC name, description, user, owner, usage frequency, reporting data element, report name etc. and other functional details e.g., data attribute lineage, underlying calculation/aggregation logic, source system, source system data owner name etc.
- Assist with retirement planning for all EUCs, including gathering and validating existing EUC retirement plans /BRD if available; or working with EUC Owners to identify and agree a retirement path (along with the functional tech teams if required)
