Sr. Accounting Manager
PCORP is looking for a Sr. Accounting Manager in the Louisville, Kentucky area to join our growing organization. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The Sr. Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of PCORP and affiliated companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Sr. Accounting Manager day-to-day:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish monthly financial reports supported by visual aids such as charts, tables and graphs to enhance the dissemination of financial information.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Monitor all aspects of credit including leasing contracts, consumer loans and credit cards.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Working with fractional CFO, Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Supervise and manage the finance department staff.
Sr. Accounting Manager requirements and skills:
- Degree in accounting and 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience creating financial statements and with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong leadership, organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
