Our client is a leading provider of critical mission solutions and support to defense clients globally. They are looking for a Senior Obsolescence Engineer who can join them at Orlando, FL.
Job Description:
- The ideal candidate will support the maintenance and repair of returned LRUs.
- Will be responsible for tracking, repair and return of LRUs that have been returned from the field.
- In this effort, support troubleshooting of the returned parts and identifying the best path to repair.
- Work with manufacturing to support the repair and testing of the LRU and track the return of the LRU to the customer.
- Track our inventory components and parts on hand.
- Interfaces with the other parts of the organization including other engineering disciplines, program management and manufacturing and operations to ensure the successful repair of parts and their return to the field.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience and/or ability to perform Parts Obsolescence management including DMSMS analysis in accordance with DoD SD-22
- Experience analyzing technical data and reports to develop life cycle management recommendations and reports supporting sustainment and maintenance of products
- Exposure to reliability modeling and prediction in accordance with MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-690, MIL-STD-765, ANSI-GEIA-STD-009, or equivalent industry standards or practices.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with product design.
- Knowledge and familiarity of MIL-HDBK-338, MIL-STD-1543, MIL-STD-189, MIL-STD-781, MIL-STD-785 or equivalent industry practices.
- Experience in multiple Systems Specialty areas such as Reliability, Safety, Human Factors, etc.
- Experience with DOORS and Cameo
- Ability to produce DoD required analysis, such as:
o Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
o Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
o Reliability Modeling and Predictions
o Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Analysis
o Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
o Supportability Analysis (SA)
o Technical Manual Development
o Training Material Development
- Experience with requirements development, hardware and software development and verification.
