Position: Construction Estimator - High-End Construction
Client: Developer / General Contractor in New York City
Compensation: $150,000 - $220,000
Location: New York, NY
The successful Construction Estimator - High-End Construction responsibilities will include:
- Manage the estimating process for multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring accurate and timely estimates.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare comprehensive and detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, including quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor costs, and equipment expenses.
- Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and project specifications.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor and track industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to maintain accurate estimating data and pricing databases.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators and contribute to their professional development.
- Collaborate with the project management team during the construction phase to address any estimating-related issues or changes.
The ideal Construction Estimator - High-End Construction will have:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction estimator, with a proven track record in successfully estimating commercial and residential projects.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in New York.
