An aviation industry client of ours is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Team Manager to join their growing team. As the Data Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of data entry analysts. Your primary goal will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality navigational data in line with the 28-day AIRAC cycle. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a drive to increase automation and quality within the data team.
This is a FULLY ONSITE role based in the South Metro Denver area. This opportunity is unable to provide sponsorship at this time. Relocation package available for qualified candidates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team responsible for managing global navigational data updates on a 28-day cycle.
- Ensure high standards of data accuracy, especially in the context of aviation navigational data.
- Familiarity with the ARINC 424 data format and specification.
- Coordinate and manage a team primarily located in offshore.
- Work closely with other teams to expand data coverage and address challenges.
- Plan, execute, and deliver data-related projects on time.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Oversee vendor relationships and contracts.
- Leverage existing data for Business Intelligence (BI) efforts.
Required Experience and Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-7 years in data management or analytics leadership roles.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong technical background to understand complex issues.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Leadership and Communication:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders.
