Job Title: Benefits Administrator – Attendance Management
Location: Chicago Heights, IL
Hours: 40 hour work week, 12 hour shifts – One month nights, the next month days! Every other weekend

Job Description:
The Benefits Administrator will manage employee leave and attendance, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and relevant laws. This role operates within a 24/7 attendance management center, requiring flexibility in shifts, including evenings, overnights, holidays, and weekends. The position involves close interaction with supervisors, managers, and HR to monitor and administer attendance policies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee leave requests and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
- Handle sensitive employee information and determine eligibility for leave, including FMLA.
- Support field managers with documentation for coaching or disciplinary actions related to attendance.
- Collaborate with HR, legal counsel, and operations teams to manage complex cases.
- Educate and coach managers on leave policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and correspondence in line with legal standards.
- Manage ADA accommodations as they relate to leave administration.
- Handle multiple types of calls in a fast-paced environment with professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of federal (FMLA) and state family leave laws.
- Experience in HR employment law, particularly as it relates to leaves, disability, and HIPAA.
- Familiarity with union environments and 24/7 operations.
- Proficiency in relevant software (Outlook, Excel, Leave Administration Software, HRIS).
- Minimum two years of experience in HR and/or Leave Administration.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage confidential matters with discretion.

This is a long-term contract position, potentially lasting several years. The role is 100% on-site, with 12-hour shifts that rotate through all days of the week, including evenings, overnights, holidays, and weekends.
