Senior Data Engineer
Leads the design, development, and operation of robust, scalable, and secure data platforms on the Azure cloud.
Drives the adoption of cloud-native technologies and data engineering best practices. Oversees the entire data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to storage, processing, and consumption. Collaborates closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions. Manages and mentors data engineering teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the client to define roadmap and execution strategy.
- Architect and implement Azure data solutions leveraging services like Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Data Lake Storage, and Synapse Analytics
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data ingestion strategies
- Build and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security through rigorous testing and monitoring
- Optimize data platform performance and cost-efficiency
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot data-related issues
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry trends
- Must hands on and provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering team members
