We have an exciting opportunity for a Fright Processing Warehouse Associate to join our DOW Warehouse team. The Fright Processing Warehouse Associate's primary focus is handling the warehouse inbound and outbound freight orders throughout the workday by (i) physically unloading, receiving, and stocking inbound LTL freight orders; and (ii) pulling, palletizing, strapping, wrapping, processing, and loading outbound LTL freight orders. Your secondary focus would be that of a general Warehouse Associate where you will assist in the inventory, order picking, order packing, order checking, shipping/receiving, stocking, organizing, and cleaning functions needed in the warehouse as directed by Warehouse or Operations Management.
Hours are 9am-6pm Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed. Flexibility to work long hours, depending on your assigned jobs and business needs.
Full Time position with pay starting at $16.50 per hour.

Freight Processing Job Duties:
- Load and unload shipments from all delivery vehicles and common carriers utilizing forklift, pallet jack, and by hand.
- Physically unloading, receiving, and stocking inbound LTL freight orders.
- Verify accuracy of warehouse deliveries received.
- Pull outbound freight orders by hand truck, with a pallet jack, or with a forklift.
- Prepare outbound freight orders for shipment by palletizing, strapping, and wrapping.
- Process outbound freight orders for shipment by utilizing computer systems to process the order, obtain freight quotes, assign shipping method, and processing labels and Bills of Lading.
- Create and update documents using Microsoft Office products.
- Load outbound freight orders by hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift into designated common carrier.
- Maintain shipping and loading dock area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Attend to other freight processing duties as directed by the Warehouse Management.
General Warehouse Job Duties:
- Perform general stocking duties on a daily basis throughout the warehouse.
- Perform accurate weekly physical inventory counts.
- Assist in accurately pulling and checking other orders including parcel and customer pickup orders.
- Assist in the sorting, stacking, and rotating inventory on a periodic basis to help maintain FIFO stock and pulling locations.
- Create and update documents using Microsoft Office products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility.
Required Qualifications: To be qualified for this position, you must:
- Be detail oriented and will need to be able to work in a Team/Group environment, as well as independently without constant supervision.
- Be able to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Be able to learn and navigate within the company's computer system and the carrier's freight processing systems.
- Understand and follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining workplace safety in the warehouse. This includes wearing appropriate protective gear and reporting any safety concerns to management.
- Have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Abide by all company and department policies and procedures.
- Be willing to work any required overtime if needed.
- Be punctual attendance and excellent time management skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating a forklift is desired; must be able to pass forklift certification and operate forklift in warehouse locations utilizing a forklift.
- Minimum of one year experience supporting inventory or warehouse operations.
- Have familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to grasp, sit, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads of 75 pounds in a physical environment.
- Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack or pallet stacker.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Ability to be on your feet for and moving for up 8-10 hours a day as workload permits.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
