Position Description
The Calibration Technician position performs calibrations at an intermediate level in (IM&TE) inspection, measurement, and test equipment in DC/Low Frequency, Mechanical and Dimensional, Force Time & Frequency, and Thermodynamic disciplines. Base knowledge of RF/Microwave helpful.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibrations and adjustments on (IM&TE) inspection, measurement, and test equipment in the following disciplines DC/Low Frequency, Mechanical, Dimensional, Time & Frequency, and Thermodynamics.
- Maintain both primary and secondary calibration standards.
- Adapt calibration standards and knowledge to measure unique and one off test equipment.
- Collect calibration data, and record information on data sheets. Complete calibration data sheets and certificates, including out of tolerance conditions.
- Working independently without direct supervision at both the in house calibration lab, as well as, the customers facility.
- Clearly communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers on the phone, in person, and through email.

Requirements:
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the calibration of DC/Low Frequency, Mechanical and/or Dimensional, Force, Time & Frequency, and Thermodynamic test equipment calibration required.
- Military PMEL or TMDE training is a plus.
- Civilian or Commercial calibration experience a plus.
- High School diploma or equivalent, and current drivers license required.
- Basic mathematics including Algebra preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in Excel preferred.
- Ability to work both independently to accomplish daily workload.
- Experience with ISO 17025:2017, ANSI Z540.1, and ANSI Z540.3 is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
Work Environment
- Work performed in local laboratory and at customers facility.
- Up to 25% out of town overnight travel. Per diem and all accommodations included.

Salary: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- commercial calibration lab: 1 year (Preferred)
- Calibration of Mechanical or Electronic test equipment: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
