Position Summary:
The Assistant Nurse Manager directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in specialty areas for the purpose of ensuring the competent delivery of quality patient care. He/she implements, educates and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, standards and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. The Assistant Nurse Manager 's primary role is ensure safe, high quality, cost effective patient care is being delivered by the RN and patient care support personnel they are responsible to supervise. However, they may take patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictate, in order to deliver high quality patient care.
Position Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
Preferred: BSN
EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years as a staff nurse, previous charge nurse experience preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- ACLS (AHA) and EKG Certified
