The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program management activities by performing tasks related to data tracking, analysis, and implementation of results that meet the goals/objectives of the department.
Overview The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a new and growing department looking for dynamic professionals who are eager to implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission of taking St. Jude to the world by training the clinical workforce, developing, and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
The St Jude Global Childhood Cancer Analytics Resource and Epidemiological Surveillance System (SJCARES) Registry is a unique Global Hospital-Based Pediatric Cancer Registry and Reporting System Network designed as an integrated solution to support evidence-based care decision-making to improve outcomes for pediatric cancer and other blood disorders in low and middle-income countries (LMICs) where an estimated 90% of childhood cancer cases occur. The cloud-based Registry Network collects key actionable data to support quality improvement initiatives that positively impact the quality of care delivered, accelerating knowledge generation and strengthening research capacity in LMIC.
GPM is seeking a proactive Program Coordinator for the SJCARES Registry Program. This position will focus on designing, coordinating, and implementing registry projects spanning from epidemiologic analyses to quality improvement data collection standards.
Responsibilities include: - Coordinate multiple projects designed to strengthen existing registry procedures and expand outcome measures within the Registry.
- Provide input into the design of projects as part of the SJCARES Registry team.
- Support the creation, review, and updating of program-related processes and documentation of standard operating procedures.
- Facilitate communications in live meetings, presentations, and email/written materials.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with St. Jude and global partners to attain project goals and facilitate productive collaboration.
- Liaise with other members of GPM/SJG and its collaborators to ensure alignment of initiatives with institutional and departmental strategic plans and regulations
- Coordinate and facilitate in-person and online meetings and workshops, including logistics and creating supporting materials.
- Support Registry educational and training-related activities.
- Assist with grant and protocol writing, literature searching and synthesis, and IRB (Institutional Review Board) preparation.
- Research, document, and disseminate relevant information, including preparing and delivering presentations and reports.
- Support the development of project and grant budgets related to the registration program through grant writing and the budgetary and submission processes.
- Support administrative and technical Registry Program-associated tasks.

- Make recommendations for program or process improvements by providing inputs for systemic changes to program or project management processes for better planning, scope management, and risk prevention.
- Support the design and implementation of policies, process and procedures.
- Develop process for execution of program initiatives.
- Engage with program management teams internally and vendors externally for coordination.
- May mentor less experienced team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.

Minimum Education and/or Training: State the minimum education and/or training required.- Bachelors degree required.
- A master's degree is preferred (related to Quality, Healthcare, and /or Medical Science)
- MPH, Master of Medical Sciences (MMC) or MSE, Master in Health Administration (MHA) preferred.
Minimum Experience: State the minimum years of experience required to do this job successfully.- Minimum requirement: 3+ years of experience in program management delivery.
- Five (5) years of experience and expertise in complex project management preferred.
- Experience in clinical/population-based registries or healthcare research with project management methodologies preferred
- Fluency in a second language (Spanish) is highly preferred.
- Supervisory and/or team coordinator experience preferred.
- Significant experience working with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office)

This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Program Coordinator, SJCARES Registry Program.
