Job Description: Project Engineer
Reporting to: Project Manager

System Integrator specializing in Assembly and Joining automation equipment.
We provide custom Turn-Key automation equipment from our facility in the Detroit metro area and service Tier 1 automotive suppliers throughout the Continental US, Canada and Mexico.

Position Description:
We are in need of an accomplished Project Engineer who would assist the project manager in all related activities related to project management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for planning and tracking internal projects based upon leadership from the Project Manager.
- Establish and maintain the project schedule using Microsoft Project and hold regular project meetings to monitor progress and identify any action items needed to maintain the project schedule.
- Initiate and develop open issues matrix.
- Track and route material purchased for the project to insure efficient procurement.
Lead Design Reviews internally and with the customer
- Work with Mechanical and Controls Design to implement cost effective construction techniques.
- Work with the Builders on the floor to resolve any open issues.
- Influence manufacturing decisions that affect project completion or project budget.
- Assure that the project is properly staffed and that the timely flow of information between all parties is maintained.
Education/Skills/Required Experience:
- Higher Level Education preferred or Equivalent Work Experience
- 1+ years of experience in Industrial or Automotive industry
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Strong Microsoft Office and Project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills through communication, presentation and negotiation
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed
- Mechanically biased
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
