Position Overview:
The Chatham Group, an Advanced Materials and Technologies Recruiting Firm, is seeking seasoned professionals for the role of Consumer Psychology and Design Thinking Manager with our client in the Advanced Building Materials industry. This key leadership role involves deep understanding of consumer psychology and behavior to align products and technologies with precise market demands. You will spearhead the development of innovative, consumer-centric product strategies by leveraging your extensive expertise in behavioral science and design thinking methodologies. Your mission is to be the advocate for the Voice of the Customer, identifying and addressing key consumer challenges, and guiding the design of solutions that are both desirable and acceptable within the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced behavioral analytics and customer feedback to refine and innovate products, enhancing user experience and satisfaction.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to positively influence consumer behavior, driving the adoption and success of new products.
- Lead experimental design processes to assess customer responses to various product iterations and innovations.
- Architect and manage comprehensive consumer research frameworks, including field studies, ethnographic research, A/B testing, Conjoint Analysis, and more.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Data Analytics, to transform insights into actionable product features.
- Conduct in-depth customer and consumer interviews, surveys, and usability assessments to guide product development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, Marketing, Economics, Psychology, or a closely related field; advanced degrees are highly regarded.
- 10+ years of experience applying behavioral science and design thinking principles within a business and manufacturing context, with a proven track record of driving product innovation.
- Experience within the Advanced Building Materials industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong background in experimental design, statistical analysis, data interpretation, and consumer research.
