Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: REMOTE (PST)
Duration: 6 month contract to hire (W2)
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- ASP.NET experience
- WebForms experience
Plusses:
- Experience managing and optimizing SQL server databases
- Prior involvement in migrating legacy systems to modern frameworks and technologies
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and DevOps
- Experience with other front-end frameworks/libraries such as Angular and React
Day to Day:
- General software engineering work, such as road mapping
- Completion of tickets on a legacy application
- Upkeep and engineering of the maintenance and work orders platform (website)
Job Description:
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our top clients in the facilities management space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining applications using ASP.NET Webforms and VisualBasic (VB) with a Microsoft SQL Server backend. Additionally, experience with Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS), Bitbucket for code repository management integrated with Azure Git, and front-end technologies like JavaScript, CSS, and Bootstrap are essential. This is a ticket-focused role (Jira) and candidates should enjoy polishing a legacy application independently. The environment is fast-paced and very “startup-esque” in many ways – candidates should be adept at learning new evolving technologies and methodologies quickly. The role will involve adding features, enhancing existing screens, debugging the occasional error, and migrating the code base towards the ASP.NET MVC, and eventually, dot.net core architecture, respectively.
Compensation: $50.00-65.00/HR
